Welcome to the Department of Marketing! We take great pride in our people, programs and performance. Marketing is a broad, dynamic field with many interesting opportunities for students, faculty and all types of organizations. Our world-class faculty enjoys studying and teaching marketing. They produce sophisticated research that helps businesses relate to their customers and markets more effectively and profitably.

Much of our research involves corporate partners who work directly with us, providing support and guidance. Our research productivity is consistently ranked among the best institutions nationally. Our internationally renowned Center for Services Leadership is a leader in research and executive education. The Center's prestigious charter member firms and advisory board provide support and counsel for our activities.

We offer cutting edge curricula and courses that prepare students for successful careers. In our undergraduate curriculum, we believe in balancing fundamentals with innovative ideas and practices, and in building practical skills in market analysis, decision-making and communication. Recruiters find our students to be energetic, motivated and prepared. Our Collegiate AMA, AD Club and Pi Sigma Epsilon offer professional enrichment for students and networking opportunities.

We actively participate across the W. P. Carey MBA programs and host two W. P. Carey MBA program specializations: Strategic Marketing Management and Sports Business. These innovative W. P. Carey MBA specializations are market-focused and cross-functional. Through them, W. P. Carey MBA students truly can gain a competitive edge for their careers.

The Ph.D. concentration in marketing prepares select students for careers as faculty in leading business schools. Our doctoral students become skilled researchers and outstanding teachers in a collegial environment.

The department has a Scholarships and Awards Program. All awards and scholarships are performance-based, and corporations sponsor many of them. In addition, we recognize our Distinguished Alumni and present a Distinguished Service Award. Nearly 150 students, faculty, sponsors and friends attend our annual awards reception.
