Professional Development
The W. P. Carey School of Business offers a range of credit and non-credit executive education, management development, and professional development programs for mid- to senior-level managers. Utilizing the same world class faculty who teach in our nationally ranked MBA offerings, Executive Education programs at the W. P. Carey School are highly-focused, interactive learning experiences that expose participants to leading-edge business thinking and challenge them to analyze and transform their own business practices. Two and three-day courses are scheduled throughout the year, and custom programs can be designed for single company groups. Courses can be delivered in several formats: live (on campus or at company locations), online or blended.

Charles Christian, Director
Charles Christian is a Professor in the School of Accountancy where he has taught and conducted research in tax policy for over twenty years. He has taught Taxation & Business Decisions in the undergraduate program, Applied Research in the Fifth-Year Professional Accounting Program, and a seminar on Empirical Tax Policy Research in the doctoral program. He has served under contract as a research consultant for the Internal Revenue Service since 1991. Prof. Christian earned his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Georgia Bar Association.
Jim Boatsman, KPMG Professor of Accounting
James R. Boatsman, CPA, is the KPMG Professor of Accounting. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Oklahoma State University and his Ph..D. from the University of Texas at Austin. Professor Boatsman previously taught at Oklahoma State University and Northwestern University and was the Academic Fellow at the Securities and Exchange Commission. He has published articles on financial accounting, auditing, and taxation in such journals as The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Literature, Abacus, Journal of Accounting Auditing & Finance, Journal of Management, and The Journal of the American Taxation Association, and is co-author of an advanced accounting text. Professor Boatsman is associate editor of the Journal of Accounting Literature and has been associate editor of The Accounting Review. He is a member of the American Accounting Association. American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and Financial Executives International. He has served on various committees of the American Accounting Association, editorial boards, and has been involved with the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business on accreditation matters.
Yuchang Hwang, Associate Professor
Yuhchang Hwang received his M.S. from National Chengchi University (Taiwan) and his Ph.D. degree from University of California at Berkeley. Professor Hwang's research interests focus on managerial accounting, performance measurement, healthcare cost and quality outcome study. His recent publications appear in academic journals sucha as: Management Science, Review of Accounting Studies, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Journal of Accounting Auditing and Finance, ... etc. He is a member of the American Accounting Association.
Persy Munshi, Lecturer
Perseus B. Munshi received his MBA from the Ohio State University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Arizona and a Chartered Accountant (India). He has over 15 years' experience in the public accounting profession, with the Big Four, Regional, and Local firms, where his areas of specialty were Auditing and Strategic Management Consulting.
